there is a word document run card that downloads
2013 - hanscom engine to cover lincoln on 3rd alarm - and to the fire
on the 4th alarm
==================
back story - hanscom afb has had a fully paid FD probably back to the
1940s - they also went to calls on the civilian side of the airport
and into north lincoln - dont think they ever went to ems calls in
north lincoln though - even though that was a 8 minute run or more for
the lincoln fd ambulance
for many years - in the 1970s - lincoln would send 1 firefighter with
the ambulance - and 1 cop to drive
massport put a dry chemical truck at hanscom sometime in the 1980s -
not sure who staffed it - maybe 1 massport mtnce man or maybe 1
massport firefighter from logan airport
many new blds went up in northern Lincoln thru the years - and the
military stopped flying planes out of Hanscom - but the Air Force
keeps the base open to run reasearch programs for electronics and/or
coordinate with MIT Lincoln Labs
MIT has never had a FD at Lincoln Labs afaik
Hanscom used to have a clinic ambulance - but that probably went away
in the 1980s - local private ambulances have been hired to cover
Hanscom AFB since then
