photo of tokyo vol engine at its station

https://goo.gl/maps/UVabLpkDb4cwxprM9

possible problems - no scba - no aed - no first aid supplies- no
pagers - no portable radios - no water onboard - no cafs - no jaws of
life probably - no hazmat gear

tokyo might have 150 of these vol station and vol pumpers - but hiring
of the volunteer firefighters might be done by the city councils - not
the regional Tokyo City FD

(Tokyo FD actually serves 7 or 8 "citys" - plus some towns and
villages - pretty much everything in Tokyo Prefecture / State - if
there is such a thing - Tokyo FD has 2 dispatch centers)

(on the other hand - Kangawara Prefecture is served by aprox 20 city
Fds and maybe 5 district / county FDs - seems they have 1 dispatch
center per FD - so they have probably 25 fire dispatch center to cover
the entire state)

like I said before - in the areas that still have vols - the vol
stations are approx 1/2 mile apart from each other

the downtown Tokyo area seems to no longer have the vols - downtown is
all highrises essentially

the volunteer stations seem to be more in the residential areas -
which have detached 2.5 story homes
