insight into industrial fire protection

SUMMARY OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROGRAM

(RMP = risk management plan)

The RMP regulations under 40 CFR 68.90 require facilities with program
level 2 and program level 3 processes to develop an emergency response
program, if the facility has on-site responders. Since employees at
the facility will not be responding to any substantial accidental
releases, Cedar Bayou Electric Generating Station meets only the first
of these criteria (i.e. has a program level 2 process). Therefore and
instead of developing an emergency response program per 68.95, Cedar
Bayou has undertaken the following actions to meet the applicable
requirements stipulated in 68.90(b) for sources [sites] whose
employees will not respond to accidental releases: [:::::::::]

Interacted with the Greater Baytown-Chambers County Local Emergency
Planning Committee and coordinated with a local emergency response
organization.

Developed mechanisms to notify emergency responders if there is a need
for a response.

now that I think about it - this is pretty much ass backwards

since we dont have a fire truck - we dont need a program

WHO THE HELL DECIDED THAT THEY DONT NEED A FIRE TRUCK?
