boston marathon is coming up soon - any radio testing going on?
gonna guess that most public safety comms will be on the regular main
channels - and major incidents will be handled on the mutual aid
channels and maybe the utac channels / itac channels
plus with state cops running all over the place - and maybe some feds
- they have their own channels so they dont clutter up the local
channels - hopefully they are more competent than blubber team 6 and
the fbi in a hotel room somewhere
how many spare radio channels do they have? 10% ? 25% ? what are the
national standards for spare radio channels ? lol lol lol lol get real
- there are no national standards for any of this shit - they just
fake it -
real question - what radio systems have been improved since 2013? do
bpd radios work in the subways yet? do bems radios work in the subways
yet? do msp or fbi radios work in the subways? lol lol lol lol lol get
real again
can a mit cop radio work in kendall square station? do they know they
have to go to 16? do they have cpd 16 in their radios? not even gonna
ask about mit ems lol lol lol lol
northeastern or bu pd radios - do they work in boston subway stations?
have they ever been tested?
the basic guideline is very simple - every public safety radio should
work everywhere always - getting there is not simple of course - but
it would be nice if at least 1 person (hopefully a radio engineer) was
trying to reach the goal line
