this article talks about training and ops of the charlotte motor
speedway safety crews - 340 track workers were trained in safety
techniques - improvements were made
seems that AMR medics have at least 2 white pickup trucks - per the photo
someone has white tow trucks
someone has a red 'fire' truck
bottom line still seems to be - each track has their inhouse trucks
and part time staff - for the major races, nascar or whoever shows up
with their own trucks and medics and maybe rescue guys - nascar might
have their own ambulance I imagine - maybe not
the individual race tracks might just have 1 or 2 fulltime safety
chiefs - and everyone else might be parttimers
iirc nascar has a fulltime safety crew of 40 people that travel the
country going to the major races
charlotte motor speedway requires that fire and safety crews be on
duty anytime the track is rented and a moving automobile is involved -
I imagine that cost is added on to the cost of renting the track
