kar981 - fcc radio license -
https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/license.jsp?licKey=1176276
not sure - but this might be the real channel lineup
154.445 R - 159.075 input - Ch 1 - main - primary - dispatch and
response and firescene ops
153.83 - Ch 2 - county FG channel - (mobiles only on KAR981 license)
154.07 - Ch 3 - county dispatch - (maybe base and mobiles)
154.025 - Ch 4 - 2ndary FG - base and mobiles - low power - only 25 watts iirc
156.075 - repeater ? - but shows as mobile only on fcc uls - backup dispatch?
158.7675 - MO3 that repeats FG traffic on 153.83 back to the
dispatcher - unknown channel number - maybe just 1 MO3 - maybe in Car
21
the problem with this lineup is that they seem to be able to handle
just 1 fire at a time
On the plus side - the dispatcher should be able to hear everything on
153.83 once the MO3 gets set up
We could see them using this lineup -
154.445 R - primary and coverage
154.025 - first fireground
156.075 - 2nd fireground
153.83 - spare onscene channel
with this setup they could handle 3 or 4 fires at the same time - and
the covering units
anybody remember when they had 50 fires at the same time due to the gas leaks?
yikes - rrdb shows 154.445 as BM - its been a repeater forever
