Tac 1 is 462.975 R - thats the primary channel for boston ems
boston has 21 bls ambs days + 5 als ambs - at night there are 12 bls
ambs and 3 als ambs
dispatch has 6 people days and 5 people nights
462.95 R is their 2ndary channel - they use it for special events or
major events or if ch 1 goes down or for long low priority comms
there are a couple of other tac channels - 453.775 R + 460.525 R + 460.55 R
BAMA is 453.10 R - that is for dispatcher to dispatcher comms from
boston ems to private ambulance companies and mit student ambulance
155.28 and 155.34 are also mentioned but we have not heard them in use
for approx 40 years
around 2001 the uscg put 155.28 into their boats - and they were
adding uhf med channel portables to their helos with external antennas
there is a chart showing patches from cmed bases to hospitals in case
of cmed evacuation
phase 3 gets 6 ambs iirc - 20 to 30 patients - something like that
no mention of 470.20

they dont to struck boxes sometimes
they only go to 3 or 4 hospitals out of the city - milton and everett
