Running w/ this economic calculus, it needs to be pointed out that
assassinated MIT nuclear physicist Nuno Loureiro served on the board
of directors of a fusion power non-profit w/ Michl Binderbauer, the
CEO of TAE Tech, which unexpectedly merged w/ Trump Media for $6bn,
marking their pivot and bet on fusion energy to power the ballooning
number of data centers on which the AI industry depends. The timing of
the announcement of the merger is certainly suspect, considering it
landed on Wednesday, a day and a half after Nuno's targeted killing.
Alternatively to Big Oil being the orchestrators of such deadly
industrial espionage, perhaps there's another read where rival players
seeking to capitalize on booming demand for fusion offed Loureiro to
steal his research and/or to kneecap a rival.
