The authority for the Oregon Department of Forestry is provided under
the "Interstate Civil Defense and Disaster Compact for Emergency
Mutual Assistance" between the state of California and Oregon. Under
this agreement, CAL FIRE ground resources can respond for initial
attack incidents into the State of Oregon up to 25 miles.
