🚒 New Fire Station Planned for Apollo Beach / Waterset Area Apollo Beach / Ruskin — Here’s what’s confirmed, straight from the November 12, 2025 Hillsborough County BOCC land use meeting 👇 A minor modification to an existing Planned Development at the NE corner of 24th St NE & 19th Ave NE. was approved, As part of that change, a portion of the site is now officially designated for a future fire station. This will be in addition to the 182 new single-family homes planned for that area What changed: • Development tracts were reconfigured • Part of the site is now formally set aside for a fire station ⚠️ Important context This approval does not mean construction is imminent. It simply means the land is now reserved so a fire station can be built when funding, design, and timing line up. Still—land doesn’t get carved out like this by accident. This will be the 2nd new Fire Station location in the South Shore area along the new building on US301across from Ayersworth Glen 19th Ave NE frontage is now positioned for commercial development, which matters for anyone living, buying, or investing nearby. These are exactly the kind of situations a good real estate agent like my wife Sharon Bokor tracks—so clients know what’s coming before it becomes a surprise...and this will come as a huge surprise to the future Owners of lots 13 & 41 if they are not aware... I’ve lived less than half a mile from a very busy fire station in a previous life and heard sirens multiple times a day…it gets tough If something’s happening in Apollo Beach, Bokors Corner will catch it...More Waterset updates coming. Questions welcome... - Bokors Corner SE Hillsborough Development and Growth Update | Facebook
