radio info for the county area
================
listening to the radio tapes - it sounds like the initial dispatch
went out on at least 2 different transmit sites sequentially (for at
least 1 or 2 of the tone sets)
on the structure fire dispatch - the command channel was "local" and
the tac channel was "VFIRE 26"
when the first engine on scene reported a vegetation fire - the radio
dispatcher changed the assigned tac channel to "CDF Tac 9" but command
remained on "local"
The Battalion Chief seemed to double with Weed City Fire when he was
trying to order a full wildland dispatch - the dispatcher said "units
on Local standby" twice or more
Checking the FCC database - there seem to be full repeater networks on
154.25 R and 151.325 R in Siskiyou County - in fact 154.25 R has more
repeaters than 151.325 R - but it seems that they were doing all of
the toning and response on 151.325 R / Local
several of the local FDs also have their own local VHF channel - Yreka
FD has a local FD channel that is repeaterized - there is also some
fire channel called "Admin" - it might be 154.04 R - both Dunsmuir and
the adjacent Mount Shasta City have repeaters on 154.04 R - but with
different input channels
154.34 might be a county tac channel - Cal Fire has 1 base on 154.34
at Antelope Peak near Grenada - Montague FD has base and mobiles on
154.34 - Yreka FD also
something does not add up here
