yes - ambulance does operate on this channel with the police - they
use a 2 tone pager signal - 2 seconds or 3 seconds for each tone - and
the ambulance does stay in touch with the dispatcher via this channel
- sounds like the police dispatcher also serves as the ambulance
dispatcher
