overall - imho - very little has changed in fdny since 9/11 - if the
same thing happened today - the response would be the same - the
outcome might be the same
there are no new fire helos - no firefighting drones - no 300 foot
snorkels - no quick response units - no quints - no motorcycles - I
dont think they even have LDH - no repeaterized fireground radio
channels - no one even talks about response times or turnout times or
save rates
what would happen if a nuclear bomb hit nyc? what has changed in last
20 years? would the suburbs respond into the city? or would they run
away? how many fdny even live in the city nowadays?
