ocean city md fd response times

from 2023 end of year annual report

fd response time to fires in the city is 4 minutes

fd response time to ems calls in the city is 3 minutes

fd response times to fires outside city is ? 6 minutes

unknown if these are average response times or 90% response times -
since NFPA figures are nearby - nd the NFPA goals are 90% times - then
we assume that these Ocean city numbers are the 90% response times

meaning that they reach 90% of the incidents within the listed time frame

they are building a new station 3 at 6503 coastal highway

===============================

they have 100 fulltime staff and 200 vols iirc - which is interesting staffing

The Ocean City Fire Department is a combination department of
volunteer and career personnel. We have 200 + members in the Volunteer
Division and 100 + members in the Career Division, including the
Office of the Fire Marshal and our support staff. Our department
responds to approximately 6,000 calls each year. Many of these occur
during the busy summer season. We provide services to the 10 & ½ mile
stretch of beach area, West Ocean City, and also provide mutual aid to
Worcester County, Maryland and Sussex County, Delaware.
