dispatcher to dispatcher messages can be done via satellite radio or
telephone or via Email or via CoMIRS or via MEMA VHF network - or via
$5 Baofeng radios on 154.22 - imagine giving every 911 center a $5
Baofeng radio on 154.22 and then putting up 154.22 bases on the Pru
and Blue Hill and Plymouth Hill and Fall River and Mt Wachusetts and
Mt Greylock and Great Barrington - and Barnstable fire tower - and
West Tisbury fire tower and Charlton fire tower and Holyoke fire tower
and shelburne falls fire tower - just 12 bases needed
for total statewide coverage of 911 centers
the dispatch channels can be put into use as emergency command
channels - perhaps for chiefs to talk to other chiefs - or for
coverage units to use as travel channels or to use as coverage
channels
there seems to be many agencies that still want to do ALL of their
radio traffic on just 1 radio channel - it will probably cost someone
their life and then they will stop doing that
