80% chance that Florida will be OK

https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at5+shtml/155815.shtml?hwindloop?#wcontents

what I see here is 80% chance that hurricane force winds (above 75 mph
sustained) will stay offshore from Florida - (and maybe SC also - if
you extrapolate how these hurricanes go)

iirc heavy structure damage does not start till you get up around 100
or 120 mph sustained

therefore - it sure seems that Florida is looking good at this point

at the top of the page it says -

Dangerous Hurricane Dorian Impacting the Northwestern Bahamas; Heading
West Towards Florida

Dorian will continue to slow as it moves westward across the
Northwestern Bahamas before beginning a gradual turn to the northwest.
Early next week, tropical storm force winds, rip currents, storm
surge, and very heavy rain are expected to impact eastern Florida.
There is still high uncertainty in the hurricane track, and a shift
towards the Florida coastline would increase impacts.

futuristic trunked radio system

1. dispatchers should be able to give priority to certain radios - if
cops are doing a manhunt and Car 22 reports he has eyes on the perp -
then the dispatcher should have the ability to make Car 22 the
priority user on the talkgroup - meaning that non one else can talk
over Car 22 and block him out

2.from 453.00 to 454.00 there are presently 40 high power analog
channels - switching to digital TDMA can get us 80 channels - if a
major disaster occurs in 1 neighborhood, it would be nice to scale up
the nearest radio antenna site to carry 80 conversations at once -
would also be nice to have the ability to activate the best radio
sites for the incident - maybe just 1 site - maybe multi multi sites -
maybe synchronized simulcast - maybe not - maybe involving MO3 and
FB2T also
