house fire was across the street from a volunteer fire station - near
Washington DC
I wonder how PG County 911 handles this? Maybe nowadays the volunteer
stations do not get dispatched to any calls unless they notify the 911
Center that there is a crew in the fire station
otherwise the crazy "scratched" concept comes into play - call gets
dispatched - no one responds in 5 minutes - dispatcher gives call to
next closest station - first station gets a "scratch"
