Lake Effect Snow in the Great Lakes; Cool Temperatures for Much of the U.S.

A deep trough of cold air will remain in place across most of the U.S.
this weekend with below to much below normal temperatures. Several
inches of lake effect snow will be possible from a cold front passage
in the Great Lakes. Offshore winds decrease by Sunday in Southern
California reducing fire weather threats.
