The problem is low intensity from ordinary incandescent bulbs (even my
garage 200-watter). I use a much brighter lamp w/ color ranges to keep
on circadian rhythm. Human vision evolved to aid survival in
moonlight; your eyes deal so effectively w/ lighting fluctuations,
it's easy for you to think it's bright in an artificially-lit room.
(In 'contrast' cameras still fail miserably, eg, Teslas in 2018-19
ramming brightly-lit emergency vehicles at night as their cameras
couldn't process low-lit info cuz of the glare).
