The Forest Protection Bureau consists of a Chief, 9 Forest Rangers, 4
Patrolman, 15 part time Fire Towers, Program Assistant and a part time
FFP coordinator.

There are more than 2,300 Forest Fire Wardens, Deputy Wardens and
Special Deputy Wardens appointed by the State Forester (Director,
Division of Forests and Lands) to serve under the authority of law to
protect New Hampshire woodlands from fire. (basically the local FD
guys)
