the Gray Fire ▪ Eastern State Hospital: Primary and secondary fiber
cut; limited connectivity restored - Situation: Lifelines continue to
trend upward indicating improving conditions. Scattered showers
expected to fall over the fire on Tuesday with a 50 to 60% chance for
wetting rains. On August 18, 2023, the Gray and Oregon Fires in
Spokane County, Washington, began. The Oregon Fire is burning at the
Pend Oreille County boundary and the Gray Fire is burning on public
and private land near Medical Lake (pop 5,060). As fire speeds drop,
better understanding of how the fires will affect the infrastructure
will be available. In Spokane County, there are now 7 other smaller
