listening to the radio traffic at the beginning - it sounded like
there were multiple doubles and triples when multiple people were all
trying to talk at the same time - there was a mayday + burst line +
multi rescues all at the same time
the fdny standard playbook seems to be - each engine company brings 1
hose line into the building - the ladder companies do search and
rescue - first alarm will bring 3 engines and 2 ladders approx - with
5 or 6 people per company
did not hear any mention of a standpipe - and no mention of a spare hose donut
some of the radio messages that came thru loud and clear were just
transmitted too quickly to be understood
someone at the command post should be running a tape recorder to
capture all of those radio messages - maybe multi people should be
running tape recorders and reviewing them in real time - wont be easy
though - someone would have to keep a running log like - 12:24:00 eng
145 mesg - 12:24:10 eng 146 message - 12:24:20 double - 12:24:22 -
yell - etc etc etc - actually - maybe the log can generated
automatically using the squawks / digital radio identifiers
