a few notes
obviously VHF high band is king
all of these towns have fulltime dpw crews - probably with staffing of
3 to 30 people - many of the staff probably also serve as firefighters
and maybe emts and cops (as side jobs)
all of these dpw channels are probably also found in the police and
fire radios in the towns - so it is not uncommon probably to hear
police and fire traffic on the dpw channels at times
it took quite a bit of massaging of the online data to come up with
this listing - we are guessing that 75% of this list is accurate - but
some of these channels might be actually dedicated for police or fire
units - but that might mean that some of these DPWs actually use CB
radios or GMRS radios etc - this thought is based on the fcc uls not
showing any other channels for these towns and cities - to say it
another way - if these channels are not all dpw channels - then the
fcc uls is not showing any other channels that these dpws might be
using - and we doubt they are on cellular because coverage is probably
not good in Hampshire County
