State / Local Preparations: ▪ FL SEOC is at Full Activation (PTC Nine)
o Governor declared a State of Emergency for 41 counties; Emergency
Declaration requested on 9/23 ▪ AL SEOC is Monitoring (PTC Nine), will
go to Partial Activation at 1:00 p.m. ET & Full Activation Wednesday ▪
GA SEOC will go Full Activation on Thursday FEMA Region IV
Preparations: ▪ RWC is Monitoring; RRCC is at Level III with select
ESFs ▪ Region IV-IMAT 1 deploying to AL SEOC (Sep 25); Region IV-IMAT
2 deployed to FL SEOC FEMA HQ Preparations: ▪ NWC is Monitoring; NRCC
at Level III (Day shift only) ▪ Response Operations held a
coordination call with FEMA Region IV and HQ program offices ▪ US&R
Incident Support Team (IST) Blue deploying to Orlando, FL (Sep 24) ▪
IMAT: o FEMA Regions VII and VIII IMATs deploying to Atlanta, GA (Sep
24-25) o NIMAT-Blue deployed to FL SEOC; NIMAT-Gold deploying to
Tampa, FL (Sep 25) ▪ Logistics: o Staging Management Teams (SMTs)
Atlanta and Sterling deployed to Montgomery, AL ▪ MERS: o Mobile
Emergency Response Support (MERS) are deploying to Tallahassee and
Hillsborough, FL (ETA Sep 24) o MERS assets being mobilized for
deployment to Maxwell AFB, AL, and Thomasville, GA (ETA TBD) o
Additional MERS teams on standby to support US&R and operations in SC
and GA if required Situation: Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine in the
Atlantic is forecast to impact FEMA Region IV. FEMA Region IV and FEMA
Headquarters are actively preparing and pre-staging resources to
support. NWC will continue to monitor in coordination with FEMA Region
IV, with continued reporting twice daily in the FEMA National
Situation Report (5:00 p.m. ET / 3:00 a.m. ET) and the FEMA Daily
Operations Briefing (8:30 a.m. ET).
