helo did see the wrong plane - it wasnt the departing plane however -
it was the number 2 plane lined up to land
also - per comments at yt -
As a non-pilot my guess is the cocky Army Pilots have been doing that
shoot across the landing path for years and it finally bit them in the
ass

@thep751 The problem is this plane was landing so they're actively
changing altitude. However, they're over a freaking airport! Obviously
there's going to be a lot of planes changing altitude around. In fact,
on the video from the Kennedy Center, you can see that there's another
plane in the footage taking off.

Umm no. The helicopter was on the normal flight path for helicopters
passing through DC. But the flight path has a max altitude for
helicopters of 200ft. The radar log shows the helicopter at 300ft and
it was climbing.
