LAFD primarily uses 800 mhz
LA County FD primarily uses uhf and vhf
we did hear some lafd units talking on V1 early in the fire - so
either someone did a patch from 800 to V1 - or LAFD units were
operating on VHF channels
its possible that everyone in the area has multi band radios now so
they can easily use any band
