https://file.lacounty.gov/SDSInter/lac/1208709_Amendment1toAAR-May2026.pdf look at page 1 photo could a crash truck from LAX kill that fire on that street? sure - why not? suggestion - next time there is a major fire storm - close LAX and Long Beach Airport and Ontario Airports - send the 20 crash trucks to the fire and put out the fire the larger crash (ARFF) trucks can flow approx 3K GPM on fires - while moving - and they have 3K gallon tanks - so they can flow for 1 minute - and then go to a hydrant and refill in 5 minutes 20 of them would put the hurt on a major wildfire ======================= back story - what is a crash truck? its a big tank of water with a big pump and a big nozzle typical city pumpers only have 500 or 750 gallons of water plus a 1500 gpm pump - they are not FWD - they cant pump and roll either - but we dont think it is too hard to build new city pumpers with FWD and pump and roll capability and large nozzles - and they could have 2500 gallon water tanks but they would need 3 axles - Turkey and Greece might have alot of them - no one else does
