very quiet outside
some joggers on Mass Ave - 4 to 6 of them passed me - they were not
wearing masks
there was also a man and woman with 2 kids in a jogging stroller at
Mass at Jason
sign at Mass at Jason says no need to push walk button - no sign at
Mass and Mill
no toilet paper at CVS by AHS and no TP at Whole Foods Arlington -
otherwise the stores seem to be fairly well stocked - some bare
shelves at Whole Foods
an employee at Whole Foods with a laptop was logging in the old
geezers as they arrived between 8am and 9 am
a couple of people at Whole Foods were wearing masks - there were
approx. 20 customers and 20 staff in the store - iirc 2 customers had
masks on
just passed 2 or 3 pedestrians except for the inconsiderate joggers -
from Winslow Towers to Whole Foods
MBTA 77 bus seems to be running as normal
bagel store at Mass at Mill seems to be open - must be essential
little convenience store at Mass at Water is open for your lottery and
cigarette delights - they do have cookies and bread and drinks and
batteries and yogurts and maybe some cheese and maybe ice cream and
sundry other groceries and candy bars
big signs at entrance to 4 Winslow St - do not enter unless a medical
provider or an approved contractor - (I was in a half lockdown and I
didn't even know it) - other signs say 6 feet separation from other
people - I don't know if the elevators are in express mode or not - I
pushed the up call button on floor 2 and an elevator arrived that
wanted to take me down - I just let it go - it left - I pushed the up
button again - the other elevator arrived and took me up
there is 1 sign at the AHA Office on floor 2 that gives a phone number
to get food delivered from the Food Pantry - it is shelf stable stuff
plus MAYBE a prepared meal
note - we are suffering scattered Wuhan flus here in Arlington at this
time - at least 13 Arlington people have tested positive for
coronavirus
note - I checked out the Amazon Food and Whole Food/Amazon websites
last night - no deliveries were available for Sat or Sunday - notice
said to try later - slots would open up (randomly) apparently - the
only toilet paper that you could order was scheduled for May 2020
delivery
