Vanderbilt LifeFlight has 8 critical care response cars

https://www.vumc.org/lifeflight/Helicopter

no lights - no sirens - have same medical equipment as helios - do
intercepts when weather is bad

I wonder if that is almost as effective as using the helios?
considering the delays in requesting helo and launching helo - and the
delays in moving from LZ to patient - it might actually save time for
ground ems to load and go - and meet intercept car enroute to hospital

if the ground ambulance can do 60 MPH - then they will be 10 miles
closer to hospital before helo can even take off (if helo takes 10
minutes to request and launch)
