Good parents will need to understand and opt out of filing their
athletic children through mills that use them for financial, marketing
and sometimes even more tawdry ends. The Olympic movement has been
bought. College athletics are corrupt. High school and middle school
are the feeder systems for all of the above. Good educators will break
the cycle by accentuating intramural sports. Everyone plays. Eliminate
school football, it damages kids. Keep the Nike and Adidas sorts off
school campuses the way we fight drug dealers.
