MetroFire Boston has FDs in 4 counties

MetroFire Boston has fire stations in 4 counties

Essex County ... 2 agencies ... Lynn + Saugus

Suffolk County ... 5 agencies ... Boston + Chelsea + Massport Logan +
Revere + Winthrop

Norfolk County ... 9 agencies ... Braintree + Brookline + Dedham +
Milton + Needham + Quincy + Randolph + Wellesley + Weymouth

Middlesex County ... 2 agencies ... Arlington + Belmont + Burlington +
Cambridge + Everett + Lexington + Malden + Massport Hanscom + Medford
+ Melrose + Newton + Reading + Somerville + Stoneham + Wakefield +
Waltham + Watertown + Weston + Winchester + Woburn

Notes

we suspect that the Norfolk County FG channels work poorly in
Brookline and maybe Needham

agencies without their own local 2ndary or FG repeater channel ...
Arlington + Lexington + Malden + Medford + Melrose + Reading +
Stoneham + Watertown + Winchester + Woburn + Winthrop + Saugus +
Weymouth + Wellesley + Dedham + Brookline + Randolph + Needham +
Milton + Braintree ... however Stoneham + Saugus might have local
simplex 'mobile only' FG channels ... and Braintree might have a EMA
channel for backup ... and Brookline might still share a tac repeater
with their police ... Needham might have a local simplex channel for
backup ops ... Cambridge and Massport are on TRS ... Boston also has
some radios on a local TRS ... Winchester and Wakefield might use
their input channels as FG channels ... its a real mish mash of radio
systems
