vaccinated are less virulent

So, a couple days after being infected, both vaccinated and
unvaccinated contacts had about the same amount of RNA in their noses.
However, after a couple more days, the vaccinated people no longer had
detectable RNA, but the unvaccinated people continued to have
detectable RNA for many days. One could hypothesize, therefore, that
an unvaccinated person is likely to be contagious for many more days
than a vaccinated person. Epidemiological studies do seem to support
this hypothesis.
