lets convert the 4 passenger remote controlled unit to a wildfire
heltanker . .... 1,000 pound payload ... maybe 100 gallons of water
... and it could respond day or night in a direct 'as the crow flies'
route to the scene
100 gallons is not very much ... but maybe if it was on patrol and
could reach a scene in 5 minutes ... maybe you could prevent the next
conflagration
would atc in suburban areas be simple? just follow the normal rules of
the road ... 150 feet above the road ... maybe fly over the sidewalks
instead of the actual roadways ... treat every intersection as a
rotary ... or do all northbound traffic at 150 feet . all southbound
traffic at 200 feet .. all eastbound traffic at 250 feet .. and all
westbound traffic at 300 feet etc ... anybody on a diagonal fly at
400 or 500 feet ... or do dynamic atc ... maybe the right of way rules
used by boats would be useful ... or maybe just fly freeform ... for
any predicted collisions, the craft to the right could always climb by
50 feet
