had a blast listening to tons of radio channels during the Boston Marathon
it was great to see everything go off without a hitch
here are some highlights - was using a sds100 with a recent channel
load from the RRDB
461.45 - boston medflight - someone sent to transfer a patient from a hospital
462.95 r - boston ems marathon main channel
483.2125 r - bfd ch 3 - main channel for marathon opss
did not hear any other bfd channels in use for the marathon - ch 1
seems to be handling citywide dispatching as usual - 453.65 was busy
with station alerting as usual
460.35 R - bpd primary channel for marathon ops
455.5125 - wcvb ifb
getting 3 wx channels + 162.55
hams doing marathon ops on 146.64 waltham plus 146.67 quincy - maybe
patched together - picking up runners along the route
462.975 r - boston ems - normal ops
boston cmed running patches to hospitals with repeaters on 463.0125 and 463.10
Cambridge - the special ops 4 TG had traffic - maybe because pro had a
P2 units assigned to the mass ave bridge
Malden E4 OOS regen
450.5375 R - wbz - (helo) clear of billerica and heading back
155.10 r - 107.2 - concord dpw - picking up traffic cones
Events 6 TG - 1125 pm - concluding post - weston - ???
on msp trs - "Boston Public Facilities' - ??? - missed TG
450.2875 R - 1230 pm - in the arostar - ifb for pcr inmt bdt ??? - no
backup helo in air - oh well
BFD - "Engine 24 you can return (to quarters) = cancel the run = go in
service = disregard the call - cancel your response
927.0625 - boston ham repeater
everett fd - Ladder 2 and Ambulance 1 to an ems call - 12 year old
light headed - didnt know they had a L2 nor an A1
161.415 - "Keolis Terminal" - train showed PL of 146.2 - dispatcher /
base station showed PL of 77.0 - 1238 pm
158.91 r - need 1 emt at mass ave at comm ave - maybe patched to 460.35 R
on state trs - MED COM - Marathon Med B channel - BAA - seemed to be
ems crews near finish line - maybe the crews on the actual race route
SOPS 1 - UCC and Race Ops talking about opening and closing a street
