using the MSP feed at Open Mhz - we looked at the usage of the EVENTS Talkgroups
Event 1 to Event 16 were listed - the only TGs that were used were
apparently - EVENT 7 for CBRN / state hazmat units - and EVENT 5 for
maybe swat units
EVENT 5 had swat rollcall at 6 am ish - maybe 5 teams - with 1 in
framingham and maybe 1 at hopkinton and probably other locations -
they had units such as - Stop observer 1a - swat 2 alpha and swat 2
bravo and observer 3 alpha and observer 3 bravo (who had a quick fade
out) + Observer 3 charlie - (SEMLEC might have had a swat team on the
TG also - yup - "SEMLEC SWAT Echo" had tested earlier) - but event 5
was also getting messages from the marathon command net and from area
B msp patrols - maybe this was a SCAN channel and was relaying
multiple channels for some reason
EVENT 7 had CBRN units - they started around 4 am or 5 am - trucks
were moved around all day - rollcall had - Trucks 31 32 64 21 22 44 72
+ cat 1 + cat 2 + cat 3 + cat 4 + H1 + Rad 1 at hopkinton with truck
72 - also tested were SLDT at multi sites - possibly T stands for Team
- SLDT Teams were - Hopkinton + Ashland + Framingham (2-1) + Natick +
Wellesley + Newton West + Newton East + Brookline - (SLDT Brookline
Team Leader was acknowledged as "Chief")
EVENT 1 had 1 unit call off Code 4 in Arlington at 7 AM but the TG
seemed dead for the rest of the day
its possible that the swat units were actually on a SOPS TG
the CBRN units were definitely on EVENT 7 because one of the units
explicitly said that he had switched to EVENT 7 and was enroute to
Hopkinton
also - heard "UCC OPS" and "SP UCC" on the command net - also heard
Enviro Police units in boston harbor on patrol for the marathon - they
coded it as 'other agency assist' - mentioned were 70 + 72 + 77 + 2 +
