we have probably posted these before - but lets hit this subject 1 more time
RRDB shows Worcester Fire Repeater 1 as 859.4875 R N799 and PL 131.8
on license WPKI790
RRDB shows Worcester Fire Repeater 2 as 855.9875 R N799 and PL 131.8
on license WPKI790
however - the FCC ULS does not show any conventional repeaters (either
FB2 nor MO3 nor FB2T on those channels) licensed to Worcester -
WPAR399 does show FB2 at 2 sites for the city TRS on 855.9875
the city of worcester does have license WPKI790 for three 'mobile
only' channels / freqs
- 858.4375 - 620 mobiles at 35 W / 35 W ERP
- 859.4875 - 150 mobiles at 35/35 - (this shows as Fire Repeater 1 in the RRDB)
- 860.4375 - 415 mobiles at 35/35
taking a wild guess - based on the numbers of mobiles licensed - maybe
the 2 other channels on WPKI790 are either used for 'all city units'
or 'police' or 'dpw'
WPKI790 shows emissions listed as 20K0F1E + 20K0F3E - we know that the
2nd one is regular 'wideband' (not narrowband) fm
the fcc uls also tells us that the following freqs are licensed to the
listed agencies in Massachusetts
855.9875 - worcester GE + Bristol County YE
859.4875 - Bristol County TRS + Nantucket PD TRS + Worcester GE + MSP
TRS (sites at Williamstown and Stockbridge)
858.4375 - Mass Port Authority at Logan Airport plus Worcester GE
this tells us that the 3 mobile only channels in Worcester might be
usable without too much cochannel interference - even though Worcester
is higher in elevation than Boston - 350 feet higher on average per
Google Gemini
do not see any other solid info online
