this is interesting

the kokubunji battalion hq used to be right up the street - it was an
old sta with an added on ladder bay

they closed that old batt hq and built a temp 2 bay sta here next to
this vol sta and put 2 paid engines here

they moved the ladder and batt chief to a brand new batt hq about 1
air mile away

they closed the old nishimoto branch sta - that was 1 block away from
the new batt hq - and moved the 2 engines and amb to the new batt hq

which is very weird overall - regarding the station names - nishimoto
branch sta totally moved - Kokubunji Batt HQ totally moved also - but
the overall number of stations and units remained the same

have seen tokyo fd do something similar before - moving a company from
one neighborhood to another will get them a new station name

hardly a big deal - but interesting

not sure what happened to any ambulance that was at the old batt hq -
maybe it moved to the new batt hq with the old nishimoto branch amb
