update on the palisades fire article at wikipedia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palisades_Fire

Despite these efforts, 20% of fire hydrants eventually ran out of
water in the more elevated parts of Pacific Palisades.[11][12]

================================

what does that mean exactly? 2 hydrants in a totally blackened
neighborhood went dry 6 hours into the fire? so they had no effect on
anything basically

or did 2 hydrants go dry at the beginning of the fire when they almost
had the blaze under control?

afaik - the most elevated parts of Pacific Palisades is where the fire
started - that is 1,000 feet above sea level - we heard no radio
messages about dead hydrants in the first hour of the fire - so we
believe this clap trap about dead hydrants is 99% BS - it had nothing
to do with anything pretty much - but this is the type of crap that
the people in the USA gobble up - because they are 99% clueless - and
the disasters will continue - and probably get worse - its a National
Psychosis Emergency (NPE)
