waterville and sanford have lost their hospitals - just have free
standing ERs as of 2027
14 hospitals just have 25 beds - that must be the minimum required to
stay open - actually 1 has 23 - all of those small hospitals are
listed as critical access hospitals - think that means that the feds
give them extra money to keep their ER open - one of the critical
hospitals has 50 beds (at Norway)
how many of these hospitals have MRI or CT machines? all of then?
