212 on this video - cued up
we think the jist of this video is that stacked freight trains will
now run thru the hoosic tunnel instead of running thru chester mass
and westfield mass etc - or in addition to
mot of this particular video shows trains in operation
but there might be a detailed explanation of the changes somewhere on the video
bottom line - the northern route will maybe be getting busier - thru
greenfield and orange and athol and fitchburg etc - (kinda guessing
what that map at 212 shows) - maybe there will be less traffic going
north from worcester to ayer
apparently the major switching yard or intermodal yard is at ayer
the chester cam shows maybe 1 train per hour - so they seem to have
plenty of tracj capacity on both routes - not sure if this will make a
major difference in new england or not
more changes are likely to occur
this is a joing venture between several railways
at end of video - 151.25 - train going too slow - ( maybe a joke )
