georgia highway patrol went to nextel in 2024

https://www.radioreference.com/db/aid/816

really?

(mostly a flat state but some mountains in north end of state)

Georgia State Patrol
NEW 2024 - All communications* (*except Troop C) is migrating to
SouthernLinc LTE using L3Harris subscriber radios. Coverage Map
ALL communications will be unmonitorable and will not be patched to
any existing infrastructure.
All existing VHF P25 repeaters will only be used as a backup system.
Most of South Georgia has already transitioned to the new LTE system.

5/24 - It appears GSP has fully switched to the new LTE system. No
radio traffic heard in North GA in a few days on the P25 VHF
repeaters.
6/24 - *Troop C to remain on the P25 system, at least for now,
possibly due to interop agreements with Atlanta/Gwinnett County

Older GSP Info:
Utilizes regional communication centers for dispatching; individual
posts are still referenced in some areas of the state.
GSP utilizes Georgia DNR frequencies in some areas.
GSP operates on county and regional trunked systems as noted.
Posts not specifically listed operate on other GSP repeaters in the
same troop area.
