Judge dismisses petition to remove Mecklenburg sheriff, but leaves
door open to refile

not sure if NC or VA

charlotte nc is in mecklenburg county in nc

but there is a mecklenberg county in VA also iirc - but its rural -
probably doesnt have a black sheriff

just takes 5 signatures to remove the sheriff - or something like that
