costs are much higher than expected
history - the county had 2 PSAPs - sheriff + lewsiton / auburn - the
lewsiton / aubuirn psap was in the basement of a fire station and
apparently they are getting evicted for some reason - it was suggested
that it owuld be good time to merge the 2 PSAPs - guess what? they did
not merge them - and the new auburn / lewsiton PSAP is becoming a
boondoggle
the county sheriff psap is downtown also - maybe 2 blocks from the
auburn / lewsiton psap
the 2 cities also have a 700 mhz trs - since 2020 approx
someone has been robbing those cities blind
of course - no one else in the county uses 700 mhz
ambulance is similarily screwed up - hospitals also - they have 2
major hospitals aross the street from each other
United Ambulance (run by the 2 hospitals from an old house) - used to
cover both cities - then Auburn FD took over ambulance service for
their city in 2014 - United has been sliding ever since
