all you need to know is that they dont have any real mutual aid with
washington dc fd - unless I am wrong - unless things have changed
dramatically in the last 50 years - dont think they have - will need
to dig into this report and see what they have to say about that
they list around page 30 all the recent changes to ems units
note - fire station 3 is owned by the rockville volunteers - there
probably are several other stations that are not owned by the county -
which makes for an interesting dynamic
note - all career staff taken out of station 9 in 2025 - ish - one of
the career stations was dumped - think it was 9 - prince georges
county done the same thing in recent years - not sure how it plays out
- replacing a career crew with a volunteer crew sounds like a risky
move - but if they have enough vols who are willing to serve - its a
great way to save money
