New and Upcoming Base Openings
South Hill, Virginia: VCU Health LifeEvac opened the LifeEvac 5 base
at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital on February 4, 2026. This
24/7 facility serves Southside Virginia and rural communities along
the state's southern border.
Hillsboro, Oregon: Life Flight Network launched a new 24/7 critical
care transport base at Hillsboro Airport in early 2026. Fixed-wing
operations began in January, with helicopter services scheduled to
follow shortly after.
Ashtabula County, Ohio: University Hospitals established a new UH
AirMed base in Jefferson, Ohio, on January 7, 2026. It is the third
