NFPA Stakeholders Guide 2018 Wash DC oriented

https://www.nfpa.org//-/media/Files/About-NFPA/Government-Affairs/PolicymakersGuideFull.pdf

seems that NFPA is focused on just a couple of things - FF health +
interface fires + electrical code + fire prevention week - per page 8
of 9

Question 1 - how does NFPA spend their money?

Question 2 - their goal is to improve fire safety - how do they do
that? are they successful?

Question 3 - who are the other big players? how does NFPA coordinate
with them? (international code writers - usfa? fema? iso iaff? iafc?
consumer reports? aarp? anyone?)

Question 4 - probably 99% of FDs in USA do EMS - does NFPA even look
at that at all?

-----------------------------

lets take a step back

how do we make the world safe?

1. collect evidence - read the newspapers - ask experts - determine
what the major problems are and guess at the best cures

2. do some pilot studies - try out various cures

3. codify the cures

As messed up as the 'medical world / medical industrial complex' is -
this seems to be their method of operation - vaguely speaking
