I listened to the tape
on initial dispatch it was mentioned 3 times that a person was
dispatched - but I never heard E6 acknowledge that
E6 had trouble finding the house but the Chief knew exactly where it was
when E6 arrived he reported fire showing and doing a defensive attack
shortly thereafter E6 asked the dispatcher to call the homeowner and
find out if anyone lived there - then the dispatcher told E6 they had
a report of a person trapped - then E6 asked for ETA of 2nd engine - 1
minute - we need manpower to do 2 in 2 out
so maybe E6 only had 2 or 3 people on board - but apparently he was
clueless that anyone was trapped
no one told E6 that a person was in the kitchen or wherever - from 706
till 721 on the tape - at 721 pm ish both the 2nd engine and the squad
7 arrived
