average response time to bld fire in 2017 was 7 minutes - in 2018 it
was 6 minutes - or 6 and 5 - I know it went down by a full minute but
ems did not go down by a full minute
switched to 800 MHz radio system in 2018 - per last page of report
they have some 2 man engines apparently - seek 3 people per unit
took over ems in approx. 2005 - aka - FD began to provide ambulance
service in 2008
run 23 engines plus 13 ambulances plus 3 ladders
cover 4 or 5 cities - with avg response times of 3 minutes to 7 minutes
they have 20ish staffed stations plus 4 volunteer stations
they started in 1999 - had 1 paid guy per station
online map on fd website shows all stations and all hydrants
