first time I have ever heard this in Arlington Mass
a working cardiac arrest was cancelled in the field - patient was not
transported to hospital via ambulance - ALS was on scene and
apparently they spoke to 'medical control' who canceled the
resuscitation attempt - presumably the body was left at the scene with
a police officer; and the medical examiner or an undertaker grabbed
the body
I am pretty sure that Maryland has had this protocol in place for 2 to
5 years - Massachusetts apparently has not - maybe this was enacted
quickly in Massachusetts due to the covid pandemic
this is very scary - [delete] - just believe me - it is
riddle me this also - how many in Arlington or Massachusetts will
recognize the significance of this? is there zero significance? or is
there non zero significance?
