Back in the day, our heavy weapons specialist played a "wartrack" mix for our drive through the desert during '91. Sure, "Rock the Casbah" was there, but the top three were "Gimme Shelter", "American Band" by GFRR and this beautiful, bass-thumping magnum opus that on full blast muted the Ma Deuce the few times he fired it at fleeing Republican Guard. I was scared in a way I've never experienced since then, but damn that blend of adrenaline, testosterone & music was weirdly intoxicating.
